Community Guidelines
These Community Guidelines are in place to ensure that the Inferris community remains a safe, respectful, and enjoyable space for everyone. Please take the time to review and understand these rules before participating in the community.
General[edit | edit source]
Age Requirement[edit | edit source]
Inferris is an age-restricted community for individuals aged 17 and above. You must be at least 17 years old to participate.
Respect and Civility[edit | edit source]
Treat all members with respect and courtesy. Harassment, hate speech, or any form of discrimination—including racism, sexism, or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected category—will not be tolerated.
Ban Policy[edit | edit source]
Our current ban policy (the "One-Way Ticket Policy") is currently in effect, and if you get permanently banned, you stay banned. One and done. There is no appeal process. While an appeal system has been created in the background that can be enabled at any time, we believe focusing more on nurturing a community is the best option, instead of worrying about potential bad actors re-entering when we need more than anything to nurture this safe haven as it grows, and beyond. Options will be carefully weighed before placing a ban to see if there's any viable alternatives. We will provide updates on the One-Way Ticket Policy if we decide to modify or lift it.
Content and Posting[edit | edit source]
No Spamming[edit | edit source]
Do not spam any platform with repetitive or irrelevant messages. Keep discussions meaningful and on-topic.
No Self-Promotion[edit | edit source]
Avoid self-promotion or advertising of other Minecraft servers, Discord communities, or unrelated products/services.
Banned Topics[edit | edit source]
Discussions or content related to explicit, sexual, or adult themes are strictly prohibited. Such content is not suitable for this community. Additionally, the following topics are banned and should not be discussed or shared on our platforms:
- Political discussions are not allowed, and if such topics arise, members may continue the conversation privately in direct messages (DMs), provided all parties involved give their consent.
- Discussions promoting or glorifying violence, self-harm, or harm to others.
- Content or discussions related to illegal activities, including but not limited to illegal drug use, hacking, or any activities that violate local laws or regulations.
- Discussions related to cheating, exploiting, or hacking in Minecraft or other games are also prohibited unless you are reporting such behavior. To report an issue, please contact the community team.
- Religious discussions are permitted as long as they are conducted respectfully. However, attempting to convert others or pushing religious agendas is not allowed. Members should express their beliefs without imposing them on others.
Stay on Topic[edit | edit source]
Keep your contributions relevant to the ongoing discussion. Please do not intentionally derail or hijack an active conversation. It's recommended to join in on the current topic rather than diverting it. Additionally, ensure you’re posting in the correct channel on Discord or the appropriate forum section to keep discussions organized and easy to follow.
Respect Privacy[edit | edit source]
Do not share personal information of yourself or others without consent. Protect your privacy and respect the privacy of fellow members.
Necro-Posting Policy[edit | edit source]
This rule only affects the forums
Currently, necro-posting (reviving old threads) is allowed. However, ensure your reply adds value to the existing discussion.
Community Interaction[edit | edit source]
Reporting Issues[edit | edit source]
If you encounter any violations of these rules or have concerns, report them to the moderators/admins using the appropriate channels.
Moderators' Decisions[edit | edit source]
Respect the decisions and instructions of moderators and administrators. They are here to ensure a positive community experience. If you have a complaint, direct it to the community team—they'd love to help!
Messaging Others[edit | edit source]
This rule only affects the Discord server
On our Discord, in order to privately message someone, the recipient must have the "DMs Open" role. If they have the "Ask to DM" role, you must ask the recipient in the Inferris Discord server if you can message them. If they have DMs set to closed, private communication to them is entirely off limits unless they explicitly allow you to message them (therefore, it’s recommended that you are already good acquaintances).
Account Management[edit | edit source]
Multiple Accounts[edit | edit source]
Do not create more than one account, whatsoever. This applies to all platforms.
Legal Compliance[edit | edit source]
Follow all applicable laws and regulations when participating in this community.
Have Fun![edit | edit source]
We really hope you have an amazing time, seriously. We really care about connection, friendship, creating awesome memories, and genuine conversation. Please let us know if you ever need anything. 🖤
If you need anything, you can open #create-ticket on Discord to make a ticket that our team will receive. If there's something that needs to be looked at that's not a report, but you don't feel safe using the ticket channel, you can message a staff member on Discord as long as they have the "DMs Open" role.
